(Panthera pardus)
It is a member of the cat family Felidae and also one of the five extant species in the genus Panthera. It is found in sub-Saharan Africa, northeast Africa, Central Asia, China and India. It has a slim and long body with short, sturdy legs, and long tails which help the animal to keep balance while climbing a tree. This animal has a broad head, a big skull, and strong, powerful jaw muscles. It has small and round eyes. Its long eyebrow hairs protect its eye while moving through the dense vegetation.

Globally Asiatic lions are found only in India in Gir wildlife sanctuary across Gujrat state. It lives in small pride comprising 2-5 females with their young. Males join in only to eat and mate. Female lions are the pride's primary hunters & work together to prey upon large mammals.
